I extended my SP and traveled outside Canada, do I need it at the airport?

in 10 days, and I still have my current SP btw which expires in 31 august. Yes it is still valid and yes he can check that I was accepted to extend my SP. So everything is okay... I guess?

you are good if you have your current permit wit u. dont worry, u will be good

My friend is in the same situation, his current study permit and visa is expiring 31Aug, 2017 and he already applied for study permit extension just few weeks ago. Current processing time for study permit extension is around 2 months. But he needs to visit back home (India) for family visit probably for 45 days during school break (June-July) and will be back on valid study permit. His new permit will be delivered to his Canadian address which he said wont be looked after by anyone during his vacation. Is it ok to travel on visa/study permit (which will be valid during the travel time)? I understand CBSA will have his new permit in their system (which we are hopeful will also be delivered to his Canadian address by that time but won't be accessible until he gets back).
any thing you can suggest.?
