Hi im jerome from the philippines..my problem is that i left my partner back in the philippines and she's months pregnant now..and im in halifax now..i want to sponsor them here in halifax..but i dont know what to do with our baby..my girlfriends due date is this coming april..what do i do with our baby.?i really want them to come here with me.?

What is your status in Canada? What do you mean by "left your partner back"? Did you recently immigrate? If not, what is your status in Canada?

Are you and your partner common law? Have you lived together for at least one year?

First time immigrant..we just moved to halifax 14th of january this year..my mother sponsored us here..my partner which im referring to is my girlfriend..we did not live in the same house..so thats it..my problem is that if our baby comes out.,do we register our baby to civil registry immediately.?or we will just register our baby later..in the philippines you have that option they call late registration..

I have no idea how to register the baby in Philippines. in Canada there really isn't anything to register since the baby would not be living with you.

After the birth, you can sponsor the baby for PR immediately. You'll need to stay living in Canada as a PR, while the baby's PR app is processing.

However you will NOT be able to sponsor your girlfriend for PR, until you become married or common-law (so live together for 12 months). So go back and get married asap. You should probably wait for this and sponsor them together, since I doubt you would want mom and baby separated.
