My husband just called the approved medical centre in Kingston Jamaica and they said that he would first have to book an appointment one week ahead of time and then bring in several things. Like passport, two passport pictures and form from permanent residence package. The results would take around five days and then they will send it to Trinidad & Tobago to process. Is he not supposed to get the results from the medical to send to me with his package to submit to CIC in mississauga? Why would they send it to Trinidad & Tobago the immigration office for Jamaica is in Kingston Jamaica? I read on line that if you are a spouse who is canadian sponsoring your spouse from abroad the spouse from abroad is to get a medical and send results in with their application to sponsoring spouse to CIC in mississauga, am I right. If not let me know how this works.
You never get to see the results from the medicals. It will go directly from the doctor to the Visa Office without you ever seeing it to avoid tampering etc etc.
You do however, have to send proof that the medical was done. A simple till slip or invoice showing that you did indeed go to the doctor is all they need.
Actually, the results don't go to the visa office - the DMP sends them to the Regional Medical Centre that serves the area that your particular visa office is in. The RMCs hold the results until the visa office requests them when they're ready to review them.
I received a form that the doctor completed stating the medical had been done that was sent in with the paper work. They attached one of the four photos I brought with me to the form.
