My husband has submitted CEC application which is currently under process. I'm coming to Canada to study and will apply for study permit. While immigration law allows dua intent - immigration and study- I'm going to cite that law in my application.
the problem is that my husband is currently staying in canada with visitor record. His visitor record expired early this month and he has submitted application to renew the visitor record. According to him, his current status is implied status- not sure what that means- but in my application for study permit, what should I show to visa officer regarding my husband status? My husband said we can show the screenshot of his application for visitor record renew online. what else we need to prepare regarding his status?

Implied status means that he applied to extend or change is condistions before his old status expired. Until a decision has been made on the new application, he is on implied status.
Take the screenshot with you as well as a copy of his old WP, I'm assuming he was on a WP. Also bring proof of his CEC application (copy of fees receipt). They will look up his client ID in the FOSS/CAIPS notes system.
