I am PR of Canada under my father entrepreneur visa. Father can't come live in Canada as cause of family issues. My PR card expiring in 2 years. I am 29, engineer in Calgary. Got married Feb 2011 in Pakistan. I live in Canada, my wife is back in Pakistan. It is taking 2 years for sponsorship. My wife is eligible for Bachelor Degree in education and related field as she needs to start her bachelors by next year. Is it possible for her to get a student visa to study in Alberta if husband is PR?
She can apply for a student visa even while being sponsored by you for permanent residence. The PR application won't "help" the study visa application - it will be assessed on its own merit.
You do realize that you don't have to reapply for PR for yourself - you just have to apply to renew your PR card when it expires, right? Your PR doesn't expire unless you leave Canada and don't come back in time to satisfy the residency requirement.

Note the OP was included in his father's application as an entrepreneur and his father "can't come to live in Canada". So if the father is reported for non compliance with EN visa, the dependents are included in the removal order. This will put a bit of a cramp in the OP's plans.
But if my company willing to sponsor me, can I change my status to work permit once there is a decision given on my fathers case? and then apply for a PR on individual bases?
