If i get PR under the Humanitarian and compassionate ground, can i go back to my country and visit? or I'm not allowed to go back and visit?Thanks in advance:
You didn't tell us enough to answer your question. It's generally "Yes" but given we don't know why you get the PR and which country you're from, no one can offer insight.
I am from Nigeria. I ve been in the Canada for almost years. I applied for PR under the H & C grounds. I was just wondering if someone who gets PR under that category is allowed to travel back to their home country or not.
Only those who become permanent residents as a result of being a protected person either as a convention refugee or through PRRA (meet requirements of s. 95(1) IRPA) could face loss of status if they return to the country against which they were granted protection and their status is cessated under s. 108.
