I am attending an 1 year Masters program at the post graduate level at an University now
I know I will get 1 year work permit after finishing it
How would this be possible to get a 3 yrs work permit instead

Do another course for 1 Year immediately after the first. You will become eligible for 3 years PGWP
 
Some of my friends did one semester course in addition to their one year degree & got 3 year work permit. Then how did they get the 3 year work permit?
