Coming as an FSW, you will have to bring your "nest egg" with you and that will tide you over until your pay cheques start coming in. You will find that there are many jobs in the hospitality field and it will be MUCH easier to get one if you are legally in Canada and ready to work. If you look at the bottom of most of the postings (Hcareers, for example) they specify that they won't consider anyone who isn't already legally able to work in Canada. You will not have to pay anything to hotels/restaurants with vacancies (unless you choose to go through an agency here and I don't know what their charges are). As far as paying to have your resume put online, I wouldn't waste money on that. Spend your time preparing a resume to fit Canadian standards (or pay a Canadian company to do that for you). Have varied resumes ready to meet the requirements of different jobs you wish to apply for. Once you are here, over your jet lag, start your search on the ground. The other option is to look at JOB BANK and get an idea of the companies who have been looking for staff for a while. Contact them and see if they will set up an interview for you upon arrival.
FOLS, the other issue is that we are coming into summer time. That is peak time in the hospitality industry here. Employers will want to have their vacancies filled to cover increased occupancy rates and staff vacations. Now is a great time to come to Canada. In 6 months it will be winter and much more challenging for your settlement. Just a suggestion.

Thanks a lot for the information..................but I wont be able to travel to Canada till the end of this year ..............so instead of wasting time .....................wanted to utilize that time by looking for job in Canada till the time I am not physically in Canada.So dont know how to go about it..............

Do a Google search. Try calling the phone number they provided . Did they interview ?
Check their address on Google maps to see if the office exists .
Most of these job offers are scam .Especially if they start asking for money after a certain point .so beware.
