Is there a way to look application status before even having a brown paper and/or work permit? It has been 8 months since I applied.

And you have not received notice for an interview for over 8 months from your portal
I feel like that’s a little longer or unusual
I know there are backlogs but waiting for 8months and more to get a brown paper is little long.
I’m not sure why but just keep and eye on your portal
Coz I know people usually get it between 1 to 4months after applying
Maybe call the immigration office or raise a webform
 
How can I access my portal? Ya my lawyer tried to email them and they reply to keep on waiting. I don't know....

Then all you got to do is wait
