One of my friend application was returned as his points were reduced to 66 due to IELTS score. Because he got 6 in writing so they calculate 16 points for his IELTS.
His IELTS score was L-7.5 R-7 S-7 w-6.
I am worried now, even I got 6 in writing.
Please advise whether to give IELTS again or not...

speaking 7.5
reading 6.5
writing and listening 6 each
However, unfortunately on the IELTS result, the first language says Hindi. Does this mean that I'll be eligible for 16 points max? As it says on CIC website...? Kindly help...!

However, on my IELTS result sheet it has Hindi. Do I need to give IELTs again? As it does not say English. Though all my life I've been using English and have even studied in London.

I am also hearing that the CIC is returning many applications due to their different way of FSW points calculations for IELTS scores which would reduce the points to below 67.. The Visa officer actually verify our overall scores with different CLB levels and assign a particular CLB level to our entire score to determine the FSW points. So the points are not actually calculated for each ability and then added up like how we thought before..
I filed my application last month and if I calculate my scores as per the CIC , I would then fall under CLB level 7 that gets me just 16 points which is 3 points short of 67 pass mark. I am also worried now. I am expecting my application to be returned as well.. I have no clue what to do now.. Why are they not so clear about the FSW points calculation for IELTS? They are creating a lot of confusion....
