i am wondering how one would apply for a drivers license in canada (alberta)? My husband is the one migrating and he is an experienced driver. does anyone know what is needed to challenge the drivers test rather than starting fresh?
This is what I did.
Caveat. It was back in 2009 and from Mother Russia.
Bring, drivers record from local drivers license authority (mine in Moscow), have it translated in your province by certified translator (AB must have its own governing body of translators), bring also insurance records and do same. When applying for GDL drivers license bring all translated paperwork they will get sent to provincial authority (I assume Edm in AB) and in a few weeks get GD drivers license. Nostrovia!

It depends on what country your husbands licence is for as to whether or not they have a reciprocal agreement or not, but it is all in there either way!
