It depends, what I have observed is between 2000 to 3250 cad. It may widely vary but you get the point.

Above 1500 cad is too much imo.
If you can read/write in English or French, you could go through the process yourself and save some money.

legal aid.. well u will get approved based on ur situation.. if u rnt financial stable, not working or blah... then you dont hve to pay them back, or if u got a job you can pay them in installment.. its totally on ur situation... contact them.. google their number and discuss your situation with them...

As i said 1500$ sounds about the right amount, and that only for the paperwork process, add to that another 1000$ at the hearing.
