Hi everybody, my wife had her interview on jan 11,2012, at Manila VO, Philippines. At the end, they said to her: a decision will be made in few days. One week later, on jan 18, the VO called me in Canada(i'm the husband and the sponsor)and they asked few questions. At the end, they said: a decision will be made in few days. Now we are 3 weeks later and waiting again. How long can take to know the decision? Also, no change on E-Cas site since july 2011. Someone know about how long? thank you very much.
If the information your spouse provided during her interview did not match the same info on file is likely the reason you where called by the IO for verification. At this moment all you can do is to wait until a decision is made.
Nobody could predict how long it could take before decision is made but there can other factors too, like, background check, Medical etc. Decision made letter from the IO goes to either the sponsor or applicant email/mailing address that was provided at the time when the application was file. If either you or your spouse email id or mailing address has changed you need to contact them immediately to update you file.
You can always login to E-cas to check if decision has been made. Or Someone with similar experience from same VO can respond better.
thank you for the answer, me and my wife are waiting the decision. We have the same address, emails since the beginning of the application. I check E-CAS everyday but there is no update or change on this site since july 2011.We hope to have the decision as soon as possible.
It's a family class sponsorship. My wife(the applicant) applied for a PR visa. She's from the Philippines and living there right now. Me(the sponsor and the husband), i'm a canadian citizen and i'm living in Canada.

our update now is: on feb 14, after talking by phone to a canadian immigration officer in Canada office. She suggested me to send an email to the VO in Manila. I sent the email on the same day and i asked why they said to us: few days to make a decision and no answer one month later. Also i asked, why we don't have any update on E-CAS. Two days later, i received and email from the VO and they said: our file is queued for review by the visa officer. The applicant will be informed. We believe this reply can assist you. Now we hope to have the decision very soon. If the VO sent a reply to me, i think than my questions was justifiable because they replied. Many times, they don't give any answers. Thanks to everybody.
