Just wondering how long it takes to hear back from immigration that they have received my sponsorship forms and are processing them. Is this normally a few weeks? a few months? etc... ive heard they send you a quick email / letter just to say we have received the forms and are processing them. is this correct?
Also if something was wrong with my application (like something important missed out) would they let me know straight away or would it take a couple/several months to find out? Im moreso referring to the renewal of my work permit too, rather than the spousal sponsorship. I submitted both at the same time.
It generally takes about 2 months for them to send an email saying they have recieved your application.
As far as knowing if something on your application is missing that can take a few months. I knew someone who applied in August 2017... and didn’t find out there was an issue with their application until November 2017 (it was returned in the mail, with the reason it was returned)
