Hi Rod,
It depends on the province and the type of Job.....a max of 6 months for LMO and 1 month for WP.
http://www.immigroup.com/CanadaWorkPermit.aspx
There is a CIC webpg too...could not find it right now.
Found it : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/workers.asp
It seems the processing times have increased considerably ...from 1 -3 months for Seattle, Buffalo

Mitali,
Thanks for the info +1. Any idea on current times for LMO in Ontario or Alberta?
Thanks
Rod

Hi Rod,
The last time I checked (in Nov, 2011) was 4-5 months in Alberta. The Info was from an Immigration office at an University.

Hi Rod,
For WP, the following link is applicable to you since you will be applying from within Canada....the timeline is less....

Hope it works.
