Hi.

I'm an international student studying in Montreal.

I have one more year left to graduate and plan to apply for permanent residency as a Quebec skilled worker this May.

Past few weeks, I've been meeting several lawyers and consultants.

It seems everyone has different story about time duration for CSQ interview.

Usually, it takes 4~5 months to be called for an interview for normal applicants.

However, one lawyer told me that I won't have interview until I graduate.

He expects it will take one year to have an interview if I apply now.

Is it true that undergraduate applicants aren't called for interviews until they graduate?

Others told me that I will have interview in July or August if I apply now.

I don't know who to trust.

If there's anyone knows info or have been in same boat, please give me some advice.

Thanks.

Hi cistus777

Are you studying in French Program ?
Is your field of study in the most desired one in Quebec ?

I am a graduate student in Montreal and have just received my interview call in 5 months. All I can tell you is you can look for PEQ program, which is only available once you graduate + french beginners level minimum.

Try to do online evaluation from quebec immigration website for your chances of getting into skilled worker class.

Thanks
