how long is the study permit for 6-months-course?

Hi All,
Another quetions from me: if the sudies are 6 months (for a college certificate) how long will the study permit be? Is it always minimum 1 year?

You don't need study permit for a course less than 8 months.

There is no where mentioned that people of Afghanistan can't apply .
But definitely you need to show strong ties to home country [ very important].
