How long before CIC reach out to us? Last time they emailed us was back on June 1st saying our application is being processed further at the kingston office. Is the Kingston office going to take 6 months to a year to even get back to us now?
Once your file is at the Visa Office, it is generally radio silent unless there is an issue or they need more information from you. CIC is aiming to complete 80 percent of applications within a 12 month time frame so if you expect that time frame you're being realistic. Some apps will be processed faster than this just as some will be processed slower, but generally it's months of waiting once it is at the VO stage. Just gotta sit back and wait Hope it goes quickly for you!
thank you for your reply. I just got home and check my emails and CIC emailed me this morning saying the application for permanent resident for my wife has been forwarded to the Kingston office. Whats next? Will there be an interview for my wife? Will there be any more information/documents we have to provide?
I sent my application on Wednesday of this week urgent delivery from Mississauga Ontario. Waiting for a reply from immigration. How long does it take for them to email?

So my wife will be doing a interview in a few days at the kingston office and there's a couple things we're trying to figure out.
They want communication proof, including letters, e-mail, phone bills and photos. When I was doing all the paper work for her sponsorship i basically included all of those but it was more like western union/moneygram transactions, texts messages, skype calls & messages, facebook messages, I sent off photos of us before we were married and photos of us at our wedding and after. So please if you can or anyone on this forum can help us to decipher what they mean by communication proof that'll be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
