How long does it take to receive a PR card?

Hi everyone.

I have received my CoPR on November of 2020, and I have mailed my photo to request my PR card. I have PR card request linked to my IRCC account. However, I have not heard anything back from IRCC since then. No updates on my IRCC account either. What is the best course of action to check the progress on my PR card? Over 3 months now. Should I expect my PR card to arrive anytime soon?

How long will I have to wait before I receive my PR Card? Generally, it takes about 45 days to process PR cards for new permanent residents once IRCC receives a complete application package from individuals who have fulfilled their residency requirements. Applications for renewed PR Cards generally take 104 days.

That timeline is probably pre-covid.

It’s really down to luck. Depends on your VO also. If you’re in GTA and you sent your photos via post to Etobicoke, expect to wait at least 3 months. If you get it earlier, consider yourself lucky.
