If you are referring to your visitor visa extention that will take about 30 days, and should not be a problem. If you are talking about Stage 2 approval I would suggest you look at the spreadsheets found around these forums for estimating your timeline. Also you have to advise CIC if you have a child prior to landing in Canada as a PR. Crossing the border should not be a problem if you have ur visitor visa extension ( they will probably grant you a 12 month extention) and if you should them proof of filing your PR application. Good luck
Omg i am so sorry gsize!! Thats horrible, i have no idea where they will be sending it its in Ottawa now it might go to NY or LA because the Detroit one is closed..Ugh such a hard and long process!!
I sent in the package for sponsoring my wife this March; my sponsorship was approved in early April and the package sent off to L.A., so I guess we're been going on 5 months so far. Taking a look at the Government website for the L.A. office they give a time of 22 months -- dear God! Funny this is, when I last looked about a month before that the time was at 19, and probably a month before that was around 15...so who knows what's suddenly gone on there.
Sorry for the thread necro but I was just googling the same kind of query and it seemed relevant to post
How is your relationship with your partner? How long have you known each other? I am just asking because I saw that your interview was waived and passport was not requested. Please give me details of how you did it!

Liberal MPs Sukh Dhaliwal, Gary Anandasangaree and Judy Sgro told The Hill Times that frustrated constituents contact their constituency offices, every week, to seek help in dealing with lengthy delays in the processing of immigration applications, especially, in family class. more than likely you are close to getting approval. most visa offices ask for this fee at the end of the process. technically an application can't be "approved" until that fee is paid. there are some however that request it near the beginning for some reason. i am going to assume mexico is not one of those. my guess is you will see decision made in 1-3 weeks, then the cpr in 1-3 weeks after that. you could very well be at the end of your journey...
