I am a student of A level. I am planning to apply to science courses at university of Newfoundland. I have a friend who is studying IBA in Memorial University of Newfoundland now. She says that the faculty is not very good neither are her professors. She is not at all happy with the services provided by the University and is currently very frustrated. She says they assign various courses and extend the time of the programs. Is it true for all departments? Are the faculty of Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Psychology and like good?
for atlantic canada, memorial is generally regarded as best for humanities. second would be UNB. do not go to dalhousie for generally any course since they are greatly underfunded and have been so for a long time in ALL courses.
memorial is good for engineering because of compulsory co op. if you are hesitant you can apply to UNB as well instead.
then again, there arent a lot of unis in atlantic canada in the first place lol
Wouldn’t agree with those statements at all. Would say the Dalhousie, St Frances Xavier, Acadia and Mt Allison would be considered the best schools in the Maritimes. Memorial certainly doesn’t outrank these universities for humanities and arts.
And you think MUN is has a better financing? Not the case at all. The OP has just done A levels so undergrad education is what we would be discussing so primarily undergrad schools like Acadia, St Frances Xavier and Mt Allison are very relevant and considered very good schools. Would be considered better quality education versus UNB and MUN especially for Humanities.
