I have a tourist visa, and applied for a study permit. I want to do the same as you wanted, travel to Canada as a tourist, and as soon as my permit is approved, will go to USA and reenter Canada as a tourist. I wonder whether my Visitor Visa V1 TRV is okay to enter the country as a student

Could you please update me on your case/question, I’m in exact same situation as you were in a few months ago. I reside in the USA and I have a valid TRV... 3 weeks ago applied for a Canadian study permit. Do I need to submit my passport? Will they cancel my old trv and issue a new one? Please reply, thanks!
