How do I request a letter from CIC for police certificate?

Hi.

I've only lived in 2 countries and in one country I "may" need to get a letter from CIC stating that I need a police clearance, before they could issue me the certificate. Is there any way I can request it now so it won't delay my application later? Or I should send in my application first, without the police clearance and wait for CIC to send me the said letter and forward it the requesting agency in my country?

you won't be able to get anything from CIC before you send in your application. if a country requires a letter from CIC for obtaining a police record, then CIC knows this and in cases like these, the record is not submitted upfront and CIC will send instructions about it in the sponsor eligibility letter.
