How can I immigrate to Canada?

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can give me some general information about how I could immigrate to Canada. I'm a Swedish citizen and my husband is an American citizen. We live in the US where I have a green card. We are both interested in possibly moving to Canada, Vancouver, but we're not sure if either of us would be able to. I'm wondering how we could possibly legally immigrate both as a married couple and as individuals without the other? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may wish to take a look at the Skilled Worker section of the forum to see if either of you falls into one of the occupations (NOC's) Canada is looking for at the federal level. Of course, if either of you works for a company that has operations in Canada and is willing to transfer you, then they'll take on the cost and some of the complexity of the application.
