I have seen a few cases that were refused after relationship interviews in Hong Kong. Do you have any red flags on your application?
Lots of applicants got refused results after interview. The officers don't trust applicants from mainland of China.
Don't over think. A lot more applicants got DM right after interview. Have a good preparation for the interview.

I don't know where the red flags are. My husband got divorce certificate a month before we're married. But he got court order to separated over two years. He thought the court order was divorce proof until we prepared the documents for marriage.

I haven't order GCMS notes. Is it helpful? We didn't address this in the statement. We thought our legal supporting documents have addressed the timeline.

For PPR, does the passport have to be submitted in Hong Kong? If I am in Canada visiting my family at that time, am I able to submit it in Canada?

The PPR request will advise where to submit passport depending on where the PA resides.
For mainland applicants is the visa centre in Beijing.

Like Ryester said " why is it bad news " ? If your relationship is genuine then everything will be fine.
Your application is moving forward.
Think of the positive side:
-You will get DM soon after the interview.
-Flights and hotels to HK are cheap if you book ahead.
-March is good time of year...Not too busy, not too hot.
-Good food
