Ordering the notes will not affect your application. Just gives you some insight.
If you are concerned about your status then order the notes. I have done that within Canada
and it took about a month to receive them. Many pages of which only a few were of any value.
I think the agents reviewing your file would know you ordered them but it should not make any difference.
So, if your application is straight forward without any concerns then just ' wait it out '.
thanks!

Good Idea,
It's probably just something to do with BGC. Either way it might give them a little ' Nudge ' ?
Hopefully you will hear something soon.

Haha, I don't think that little Nudge will do anything for them.

How long have you been waiting? I have 13 weeks left until making 1 year mark.

Oh my goodness! I am wondering if HK's protest has anything to do with the process.

I saw another thread in this forum mentioning the Security Screening can range from 4-24 months. Not sure if this is true or not,l. If the GCMS note not mentioning anything on the SS, we can ask for a CBSA note
Hi all,
I just received a letter requesting for an interview in HK. May I ask if any of you have that before and share the experience with me? Also, when can I expect to get result on my application/ interview?
Thank you

Please search for the forum for interview process. There are a lot of discussion on this topic. I don't have any relevant experience but please treat this process very seriously.
The interview decision should be available very quickly (as far as I know it could be the second day or within few days after interview is complete). The whole process will take about 12 months.

I think CBSA is only relevant when you enter Canada and it has nothing to do with security screen (unless it is in-land application). It is more likely the intelligence agency will be involved in the process.
How long it takes to send a document from HK to Canada Sydney, NS office ?
HK police sent the police certificate to Canada 3 weeks ago and CIC still haven't received it, is it normal?

i see. Do you mind update me here if you have any progress ? since we share similar timeline, i just want to have a benchmark and see if there is anything unusual on my application
