We (Taiwan applicant) just received our COPR in the mail from HKVO on Sept 4, and went straight to US border to complete the landing. Application is finally complete! Thank you everyone for being so helpful here all year.
Here's our timeline, took about 7 months in total. Hope some of you find it useful:

Thank you! We didn't receive a passport request and got the COPR straight. Apparently this is the case for countries with visa exempt status to Canada?

anybody got any news from from the HK office lately? The document HKVO requested from me was received on sept 13th according from the courier, but havent heard from them since.
It will be indicated on your request letter (or email):
Immigration Section
Consulate General of Canada
8/F, Berkshire House,
25 Westlands Road,
Quarry Bay, Hong Kong
Call to book an appointment, it will be faster. I was in and out in under 15min.
FYI normally, HK Police will require you to present the request letter with your name and the immigration authority's address on it. My first email request did NOT have an address, so I emailed the EO at HK Police, who told me I can simply supply the address if it's not on the letter. Note that this is not the same experience as some others have had. So your mileage may vary!
In any case, I uploaded a letter of explanation that I needed a letter with an address and that the PCC will be sent to CIC. When my ase was sent to HKVO, I received the request letter with address.

Wouldn't hurt, except for a few extra bucks spent.
To be honest, I can't say for sure if the one sent to Mississauga is fine or not. And I'm not entirely sure if there's any way you can find out. Can try contacting CIC to see... takes about 3 weeks for HK Police to send it out, plus whatever time it takes to arrive by registered post.
But I suspect CIC would send you a request for additional documents if it's not received?
In any case, I guess you need to upload something to them, like your HK PCC receipt and a letter explaining what this is.
