Yes you do. You can currently study while on a work permit. This is a new change.

Canuck any idea for OW failed refugee claimants?
You know why because open work permit for refugee does not consider as Temporary resident status

Cause the new measurement is saying for Temporary foreign workers and OWP for refugees claimant and failed refugees does not confirm TRS!!?
I want to study if this new public Policy is apply for me but I’m not sure

It may not apply in his case since poster is not eligible foreign worker.... he falls under protected class

Well I also have OWP with validity up to 2025 still not eligible for studying with out permit!

It does not specify the exact kind of work permit just say WP holder so agent from call center confirmed that would be eligible as long as you have valid work permit before june2023 until 2026

Typically no WP if they remain in Canada as a failed asylum claimant. Most file An appeal for example if they are denied an asylum claim. That would likely make them qualify for an OWP.
