I applied for my wife in March 2014, application got transferred to London in May 2014.
I did change of her address through ONLINE case specific enquiry Almost 2 months ago but has not been updated. Does anyone one knows how long it takes? or Do we have to notify in writing as it says on London CIC website.
Also sent them proof of calls etc through case specific enquiry. Do we need to send them in writing or webform update is good enough?

Check your ECAS - there's a change of address link there. That's where I did a change of address last week, and it also doesn't show the change yet... Not much more you can do, other than wait and see, (or as you said, write to them) - tho we did at one point get frustrated with no changes in our status for months, and found an almost immediate response from our embassy when we sent an old fashioned fax inquiry (the online case specific inquiry system was dysfunctional at that time..) All in all updates lagged behind by weeks and months with us as well, but the case specific inquiry info we submitted did eventually show up in our final GMCS notes :
There is no link to change address in my wife's ECAS. It says contact us to change address. Once I open London cic website. It says updates for permanent residence application should be in writing?

Hi,
Even tho I know you have submitted your address change there, I just looked at the Case Specific Enquiry - London Portal [https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=london] and it states this; You may use this form if: You wish to report important changes regarding your application, such as births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in address, changes in employment, acquisition of a new educational credential, results of an approved language test.
I called CIC here on Friday with concerns about our change of mailing address not showing up on ECAS, and my "old buddy," helpline operator Sean said that their system shows that the correct and current change is what appears on their end, but they have received a few calls indicating that the ECAS is not updating these changes... to which he said they're not sure why, but someone is working on it :-[
