My wife's birth certificate and education documents are with her maiden name. Our marriage got registered after 3 months of actual ceremony and marriage certificate shows actual date but changed name (surname only, first name is same).
What shall we do? There's no document with us that shows legal name change. Her passport is in after marriage name.

Thanks sir. Agreed, marriage cert should be in maiden name. Since our marriage got registered after 3 4 months, registrar asked name and used the changed name (the so called authorities you see)...
Anyways, will try to get it corrected in Marriage certificate...
No worries, it's not natural around the globe. And I agree with you, I find it silly...
With exceptions, options, older generations, etc. the majority of women in the following countries keep their maiden name:
In most Arabic-speaking countries, except for South Asian Muslim women
Belgium
Cambodia
Quebec
Greece
Hungary
Iceland
Italy
Iran
Korea
Netherlands
Spain
Chile
Sweden
And many other countries where they do, but not the majority so I won't mention them.
There are also countries where they use both, like most Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking countries.
