I kindly need help/advise. I am aware that a PGWP cannot be renewed, mine expired end October 2016 and I applied to remain in Canada as a visitor about 3 weeks before my PGWP expired. Until- (Nov 30 2016) now, the visitor application has not been updated (I applied online). I contacted CIC and they only mention that my application is under review.
I am currently in the pool for the express entry with just 480 score. In case my visa is approved, Will my status as a 'visitor' affect the outcome of my Express entry? and what are the other options available to remain in Canada as I await for the outcome of the Express entry and visa situation. please help. I am running out of options and time.
I don't think Visitor status could affect EE, unless applying under certain PNP, but it's not your case.
If you get ITA you can apply for BOWP after get AOR.
BOWP cannot be granted until get R10 check done but you can apply right away.
Thank you so much. I applied under experience class. I am just concerned about the length of time in making a decision for the visitor visa. And if i am to apply to reinstate my status i got only 60 days or less. Im not too sure if i took the right direction with the visitor visa so as to remain in canada.

If you're from certain Countries you can apply foe WP through International Experience Canada.
You are not eligible for BOWP if you work permit is already expired. So don't apply and waste money. In order to be eligible for BOWP, you need to have the valid work permit and your PR application must be submitted (AOR received) . That's the whole point of bridging to work permit while you are waiting for PR.
Unfortunately you are not eligible for BOWP because your work permit has expired. Your only option is LMIA, Visitor (as you already applied) or Study visa.
