I am applying for my WP extension from within Canada. Including my dependents in it (spouse and children studying in university)
I am working under the IMP C-11.
Will be grateful for any guidance for the following questions that I need to answer in the application:
1. Which option best describes your work situation?
(I am already working as a self employed person and not applying for the first time as the text of these answers indicate)
Which of these is the right option:
.I am an entrepreneur / self employed
.I am applying for an employer-specific work permit with LMIA-exemption
2. Does your family member want to restore their status in Canada?
(My family member already is in Canada and their WP/SP are valid until Aug 2025. Is this question only for those whose WP has expired and want to restore it and the question is not for those whose WP/SP is still valid?)
3. What does your family member want to do in Canada?
.Apply for or extend a study permit
4. In the documents section, under Optional Documents" i get IMM5257 but the form is for those applying from outside canada. I do not understandwhy i got this document to fill up in my profile?

My children are on Study Permit but cannot work. As they are taking up Co-Op option they will need permission to work. Do I select the second option for SP+Open WP or just for the extension of SP and later apply for an Open WP so that they can go for their Co-Op option.
