My Wife is Travelling to Canada with Forien Worker VISA. Her Job fall under NOC 0,A or B.
1) My Job too will fall under NOC 0, A or B.When can i apply for Spouse Open Work Permit?
2) Do i need to apply TRV first and go inside Canada and apply SOWP or Can i apply from INDIA?
3) Can i apply it online?
What are the Docs required to apply for SOWP. I have done my medicals along with my wife. So it will validate up to 9 months.
Correct me if i'm wrong on Medicals?
I was confused by reading many posts.Please help me.
1. You can any time either along with your wife (when she originally applied for her work permit) or latter i.e. any time now.
2. If you are based in India you have to apply from India. Whether you apply on paper on online, in both cases your application will be processed in India (online will be a little faster though). No you do not need to apply for trv first (although that is also possible but why do it twice, specially when open work permit might have a better chance of approval). When you apply for open work permit, you automatically receive a trv along covered under the same fee.
3. Yes, but don't expect ONLINE means being processed in Canada. It will still be processed by the Indian embassy in general.
