Hello..

I was on PGWP and it expired in May 2015 but a month before the expiry I applied for extension of my stay as visitor. So, now I am on implied status. I found an employer who has offered me the job and is ready to file for LMIA. I was going through LMIA application and on page 8 (Foreign worker information) of the form, Q7. asks about 'immigration status of foreign worker' and the options are - visitor, student, foreign worker, refugee claimant but not 'implied status.'
My questions are,
1. Can my employer apply for LMIA while I am on implied status?

2. Is it okay to select my immigration status as 'visitor' (assuming that it will be approved eventually)?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
-Peace
