But you said that you've been living together for five years and your partner got PR last year. So you would have been common law at the time your partner got PR.
My partner's application got delayed several times, due to COVID, refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine. It dragged over five years.
My partner and I entered relationship and became common-law when the application was under processing.
I submitted my application as a common-law partner after my partner got the PR last year.

So that's the problem with your application. Your partner can never sponsor you since they failed to add you to their application. You will need to focus on qualifying and obtaining PR on your own through an economic immigration stream like Express Entry.

It doesn't matter that your partner's application was delayed. It was mandatory to add you to the application once you became common law and before your partner became a PR.

The sponsorship application is going to be refused.

We did realize that. After becoming common-law, we sent several webforms to IRCC informing the change of my partner's marital situation, but we never received any respond from IRCC, until the PR arrived.

You need to hire an immigration lawyer at this point.

Thank you for your time.
I will find a lawyer.

Can you qualify and apply for PR on your own? If so, I would do that in parallel.

I will be getting my PhD degree in a few weeks. So, yes, I can apply for Express Entry with provincial nomination after getting my degree.

Definitely to that.

I think the early AIP was sent premature (before criminally and background check). So they are just trying to "fix that mistake". I don't think there is anything you can do but wait for the next step once IRCC communicate that with you.
Criminality and Background comes after AIP.

It's a moot point for this thread, based on the discovery of why the OP's AIP was cancelled, but just sharing the info.:)

Well, I talked to a lawyer who suggested me send information through webform to IRCC. Two weeks later, the eligibility has been reinstated.

Good that OP got it figured out.
I am still not sure about AIP (Approved in Principle) because it was the last step before "landing"/COPR and after Criminality and background.
I think it's different now.

I have no clue about what AIP is but my eligibility was pending and I received my GCMS notes last week where I got to know about what "Review Required" status is. I had missed something in my experience letter from my Canadian employer so I was getting zero points for Canadian work experience. I submitted a new letter the very next day of receiving the notes but there has been no progress yet. Just very anxious.

Here is my timeline: CEC Inland

ITA: 11-Oct-2023
AOR: 09-Dec-2023
BIL: 09-March-2024
Biometrics Updated: 12-March-2024
Medical Updated: 10-April-2024
BG Updated (tracker only): 25-April-2024
Eligibility: In process

Any suggestion/input is welcome :)

oh. You posted your question in the wrong section then. This is under Family Class sponsorship. Which means a PR or citizen is sponsoring their spouse, common law partner, dependents or parents (special PGP program) .

I think you need to post at Canadian Experience Class section.
