Hi all,

I'm going on vacation tomorrow for 2 weeks with my girlfriend (Dominican). That means, I have to apply for another travelers visa. So much pressure!!

My first travelers visa was issued on the 22nd of September for 6 months, then I got another travelers VISA on the 28th of January for 6 months. Now, it's time to apply for the next 6 months travelers VISA. I'm concerned that I have had to many travelers VISAS and they might reject me? I have 5000 pound in my account, and my girlfriend will come through customs with me.

As a side note, I am getting married on June the 22nd, my family is coming over to Canada to witness. Once I am married, I will apply for the outland application. I've sent off a police check, and booked my medical.

I'm just looking for advice, tips, and looking to avoid any pitfalls when I meet the customs officer. I couldn't bare to be refused entry. So, any tips, advice, etc is more than welcome.

Cheers,

Ste

I'm assuming you are from the UK? Currency in pounds (and I know there are others). So you are visa-exempt right?

Yes. You are correct. I'm from England, my future wife is from Canada. So I'm looking to get the 6 month travelers visa, and yes, I believe my country is visa-exempt.

Cheers,

Ste

So you go on vacation and upon your successful re-entry into Canada, you automatically get 6 months, unless they decidedly give you less.

Mind you, for all of your worry and for the sake of a month and a bit, if I was you I wouldn't be going.

As you are visa-exempt, you have not had and cannot get a "travelers visa". What you have is called "visitor status" and it's an entirely different thing than a visa.

As truesmile said above, you just go on vacation and return to Canada; you don't apply for anything. Pay the PR fees in full now and carry the receipt with you when you enter Canada.
