I'm so sorry to hear this and I'm hearing more cases like it too. What operating system are you guys using, or are you using Macs? I know one person who's application done with a Mac was cancelled and i'm thinking its like when visa applications first moved online, CIC could only process ones done via internet explorer, any other operating system, or Macs didn't work...

Oh my!!! I just submitted my application from Firefox with Ubuntu! Anyway, I took a video of the whole process (filling the online application, uploading the documents, going over the documents I uploaded specifying important dates, reference numbers etc, the payment), so that if they decide to reject due to any system error, I can go to a lawyer.

it got nothing to do with operating system. this is the dumbest comment, i have ever seen. Macintosh is the most widely used OS today n there is no question that their system can't accept mac processed applications.
The "my cic" account is basically processing the application for PR in the same way as it does for work permit and it works perfectly for that.

Some of the websites designed are designed to work more efficiently in Internet Explorer.. If someone use Chrome or Firefox they may face issues.. I call tell this more authentically since i am a web developer.. But since CIC has not told anything specifically (some websites give disclaimer that it is best viewed on IE) we cannot be judgemental on this fact..

Best advice is to wait till the complete webpage load..!!

Not working because of OS? :P At least a browser specific bug is a plausible issue, but OS???

Can't a browser have a OS-specific bug?

The suffix is IMM for all ECA reports, the report number makes the difference. But you never know with CIC...

Necessarily need not.. Some have been reporting that their number in the report is like 12345/ab.. some hqave just 12345.. and many others have 12345IMM..

Question is that which one CIC would be using to query in the WES Database.. If CIC try to search for 12345 in the WES DB whereas our record exist as 12345IMM in the WES DB then CIC will not find our ECA and can hence reject the applciation telling no ECA is there..

Hi, I haven't created the profile yet. but I have seen my fiend creating the EE profile. He got his PR Two weeks ago and we went to the border for the multiple VISA printing. he was selected from first draw.
I am not too sure, but there is a field where we can add additional files if needed. So, When creating profile or before submitting the profile we can upload the ECA report as .pdf or .jpeg. and there is no tension??????

Hi,
there's no uploading option while creating your profile. Uploading you do after ITA when you fill up a PR application form.

lol, you obviously werent affected by this a few years ago. when they first moved visa applications online, applications done on macs and through OS other than explorer weren't going through. they've fixed it for work visa applications NOW, but it was an issue. Seeing as people are having similar issues with EE, I'm just trying to determine if its possible CIC are having the same teething problems with this new online process as they did when they moved other application processes online a few years ago.

yep. no idea why it was a problem before, maybe some compatibility issues? Anyway, I had assumed they would have ensured this issue wouldn't come up again but I'm seeing similar problems as we had a few years ago so its a possibility.

same thing happened to me, after 2 months i received the cancellation letter.
same reason,

lacking proof of education , i sent them the copy of ECA on the education/degree upload

does anyone have an idea how to set appointments with the CIC offices specifically in calgary office?

Thank you and God bless us all.

Did you also send copies of your degrees, in addition to the ECA report? This doesnt make sense. And were your degree cerificates in english, oe did you send translationed copies?

Yes, this is what I'm starting to wonder about.

From what I know you have to upload ECA, copy of your degree for which you did the ECA and translation (certified or notarized) of the degree if it's not English or French. At least that's what I was asked for by the consultant who works on my application.
