Health requirements for studying in Canada?

My wife and I are both thinking of studying in Canada, and I was wondering about the health requirements for my wife. She was recently treated for chancer. Her health has stabilized again. The doctors think they got all of the cancer, but they say there is--- statistically speaking--- a chance of a relapse in the next 4-5 years. My wife will need to get cancer screenings every six months. Is her health problem as it currently stands too serious for her to be eligible for a student visa? If she has a relapse while she's studying, can she seek treatment in Canada while she continues to study, or will her student visa be revoked for health reasons?

If she gets the study permit she will be able to seek treatment in Canada. I think other than contagious diseases most of the people can go study in Canada.

Sounds hopeful. Anyone else have experience with this? I will try to contact a Canadian consulate in time, but having trouble getting through to one that will actually help me, thus far.
