Hi everyone. I just found out that I have a medical condition that needs to be monitored every few months. I plan on staying in Canada starting in June as a visitor but I will have US coverage until the end of September. I filed my outland app a few days ago and I realize it will take 3 months AFTER I land to get OHIP. Does anyone have experience with buying temporary health insurance in Canada? I'll be living in Ontario. I realize I can pay cash but I will need a test every few months that would cost about 500 Canadian, so it seems buying the insurance would be the way to go.
Hopefully the problem will be resolved after the first 3 month check up I will have in the US, but I'm looking at options just in case it isn't. Thanks!
