Hi All,
I do have a valid work permit and USA dependent visa however my current TRV is in progress. I have submitted the application in June 1 immediately after getting my renewed work permit but haven't got any mail from IRCC for visa stamping. Its just showing "Application is in Progress".
With valid work permit can I come back to Canada from USA? I was planning to travel to USA for personal emergency. Is it possible to leave the country and return back to Canada with valid work permit.
i work in canada but need to travel to USA on emergency basis for a month and planning to return after a month.
Please help
Hello,
You need a valid TRV to re-enter Canada, even when you have a valid work permit.
Current processing time for TRV from inside Canada is 170 days

Yes its showing 170 days
i was checking in IRCC website and found this what does this mean?
Expired temporary resident visa
You can request to return to Canada on your original temporary resident visa, even if it is expired, if:
you will only visit the U.S. or St. Pierre and Miquelon; and
you will return to Canada before the end of your approved stay in Canada.

Oh I did not know that! Maybe wait until others can confirm that?
