Ours was December 2015. So I feel your frustration.

Ours was the same day. We were told it could take 2 weeks to a month for a decision depending on how busy they are.

Today is a month since the interview. Are you aware of anyone getting a visa in the last two weeks? It may be the vacation. Usually there was a lot more activity on this site, I know people who were waiting for the visa call. Nothing lately...

Yes it appears they are on vacation till September 7th. My lawyer has another client waiting on visa, they went to the Canadian embassy in Havana and that's what they were told. That the Canadian person approving visas is on vacation and will be back September 7th.

So appears everyone is waiting. I sure hope that there would be more than one person approving visas but who knows maybe there is only one.

How long did your Medical Check take after the embassy went to the hospital to pick up the results? Thanks

The medicals are sent from the Hospital electronically and it takes approx 30 days for the results to be added to your file.

Thank you so much, Galano. I don't understand the reason my spouse was told at the embassy it would take from 3 to 4 months to get the Medical Check results. At the hospital we were told the embassy picks them up, and they did almost 2 months after the Medical Check was performed. We were told as well that they (the embassy) sends the results to Canada and it goes back to the embassy. This is really confusing, so confusing that when I called CIC they themselves are not quite sure how this procedure is done. Does it help to check the eCas often? I see no changes on that website whatsoever, not sure if it's because the gov doesn't update it or our file is in a long pile of files somewhere.

When my application got to Havana there was very few updates on ecas I know that some agents are good at updating on Tuesdays however not all are. I would suggest you order Gcsm notes for $5 every few months they will give you more accurate info on whats going on. If after 15 months you have not heard from Havana call your MP and get them to look into it.

Police checks are only good for 1 year.

It is true, I do not really use the email address linked to this site, I am sorry, I did not see that message.

We got our second police certificate this year, in June, without being asked for it. We gave it to them at the interview.
