I had one lawyer notarized my declaration of single status and then had a different lawyer notarized the translations. This was fine at the Cuban embassy in Toronto when they legalized and also when I went to the Consultoria for the signing.

Glad to hear things are moving, we are going to be 11 months in Havana on Wednesday. We were told a month ago that a decision should be issued by Feb 29th. There has never been any mention of an interview but we think my husband will have one because we can't understand why we are being made to wait this long! I ordered our notes and the say recommend interview to be waived back in July. Anyone have any thoughts, we are beyond frustrated!!!!

The time for Cuba is 17 months now as per CIC web site My MP says they are keeping people to this in some cases. When he called about ours they said to call back in June Our interview was Jan 4
Our app has been in Havana since Jan 6 .2015.

Processing time for Cuba is not 17 months. CIC has removed country specific processing timelines and provides only a generic timeline to include all countries at 17 months however this also includes 60 days of sponsor approval sponsoring so approx 15 months at the foreign VO. Again, this is not country specific. Cuba has continued to process applications with interviews being waived at approx 4-5 months and those needing interviews at approx 10. Nothing is set in stone however one only needs to read the timeline of recent application approvals to easily determine this.

My suggestion is to hang in there and let them run its course.
