Yeah this has me curious as to what others have had updated (or not) on their Ecas. I agree that not having any updates may not mean anything, but also that if it is updated with anything that someone is actually "working" on your file, which can't be a bad thing either.
Can someone that had an interview in Havana post some of the things they were asked please?
I know there are topics already in this forum with questions, but I would like to hear from someone that had theirs in Havana.
I checked in after hubby got here and it showed the date and time he landed in the country and everything - but during the PROCESS *NOTHING*

Our status didn't get updated at all during the process... Even when my husband got called to go in with his passport etc. even when he got his visa. So it depends on the officer working on the file I guess.
Mine was also ''updated'' august 17th, but there is nothing new (ever since the file was received in Havana the only thing I have is ''File received in Nov'' and ''Medicals received'').
be hopeful - but be sure to look into cancellation insurance, usually cancellation insurance will only cover unforeseen illness or deaths (god forbid). Some companys offer in-house coverage tht will let you cancel with a "credit" OR smthg... just in case!
all the best- hope hubby comes home with you!!

Apparently the officer will not enter notes until a final decision is made. I will be going to Cuba oct 5th for three weeks i will book a flight for my husband to come home with me but will get cancellation insurance in case a decision isnt made by oct 19th when i return home. I hope no news is goid news right now. If he was required to have an interview i would imagine it would already be in the notes?
I was looking at one way tickets from Holguin with different airlines and their policies for refunds or changes and some of the higher priced tickets have special rates for changes Most charge for changes and some will only do a credit. Insurance is not worth it although some credit cards will get a full credit back depends on which one you have though. I just checked West jet for Nov and they charge in US dollars for one way tickets out of Holguin. They have specials on now if you book before Sept 10.
Mrs Dory Baby thanks for the encouragement. He was at the embassy today when he went there a month ago the lady told him i had to pay the permanent residency fee. He was told today our file has been assessed so i think he should get a call soon! He didn't know about the permanent residency fee so i think it is already approved but just waiting for the call now. We have not had to do an interview or nothing as of yet? I will definitely purchase some sort of insurance but we will probably hear something before i book our flights i will go there and bring him back with me.
Some interesting news..I emailed Havana yesterday asking them about my husband's expired medical check and police check. They emailed me back saying that my husband will be scheduled for an interview ( which we were expecting)..they also said this w "the interview should be scheduled not before February 2016" ..The way it was written was very confusing..my application will with havana for 11 months in Feb 2016? so i emailed them back to clarify if they meant before or after? I'll update you all later.. good luck to everyone!
hi i have a question, when emailing Havana we need to give a file number...is it the number we use to log into CIC ? THE ID NUMBER???
i would like to email them as well....also , has anyone tried calling???do they give you any info on the phone?
