It took 32 days. It's supposed to be 30 but that fell on a Saturday so I got it on the Monday. Totally worth the $5 and the waiting to actually get the info on it.
Well I just received a call back from my MP's office regarding the status of my application and t hey were told that the file was sent to Havana Jan 6th and that they have up to 9 months to process it and We most likely would have to do the medical again which expires April 26th,2015. I have not received confirmation of a SA yet so I guess this means I am approved This whole process is strange!!!

I bet the letter that they sent to you on Dec 31st was your SA approval and they forwarded the file to Havana. It sucks that the medical will probably expire.
Well at least the file is in Havana and we will deal with the rest when it comes I am writing a letter to the Minister of Immigratation and sending a copy to my MP and Senator with my story hoping they will look at what is going on with spousal applications.
Let us know what your MP says... Basically, as I understand it, there isn't anything they will do until it has exceeded the processing time (9 months for PR in Havana)

You are most likely right however it will give me a little satisfaction to address the issues with this process and maybe get a response when he sees the copies to my MP and Senator.
Mine said they would do that for me as well but I will wait for April as his med is a year old on April 26th . I have checked Cuban application dates on this forum in the las year and it looks like some have gotten their passport request on the average at 3-4months once it is in Havana so I am hoping this is the case .In April ours have been in the system since July and in Havana since Jan 6th but I have not received notification of SA only the UCI and file numbers.
Haven't heard a thing... requested another set of notes. It will be interesting to see what (if anything) has been done since my last notes. Seems like the only way to get any info is to order the notes. TOTALLY worth 5$!

I hear ya! it will be 5 months since my SA the following Monday (26th). The processing time posted is 9 months, and that's once it hits Havana, so I know we still have a ways to go. Of course, hoping for a miracle that it will come sooner is always on my mind
