Havana office just sent AOR on jan 16th to my husband. Ecas is down so I'm unable to check what it has posted. Always hopeful for speedy and postive process!

I had my lawyer ask for a status check , they responded quickly . They have requested a interview Feb 20th at 2:00.
No notice on the website of any interview ,..... Im hoping that my husbands interview is just to pick up his visa , like many. Experiences ive read on here. 7 mth today my application has been at the embassy in havana.

I am working on my application for my husbands sponsorship and I am wondering about tranlating letters my husband sent me over the years in spanish. Can I translate them with a online translation app as I did to read them Will cic accept or do I need to have them done professionally ?

I don't think you need to translate personal letters unless someone here can tell otherwise. All my letters and SMS were sent untranslated. It would have been too much work and expensive. I think that only the offcial papers need to be like mariage certificates, etc...

Dont get me wrong, send as much info as you can. A letters, sms if you can export them from your phone, proof of phone bills, etc... The more you can prove the relation is real, the best for you

Don't translate your personal letters between you and your spouse, it shows CIC that you can communicate in both languages.

I tried to reply to this post but some weird glich happened and it is lost, if it appears as a duplication I apologize.
Don't be surprised if at the end of the interview your husband is told "the Official that makes the decisions is not working at the Embassy today, we will call you within 60 days" I know of 4 other couples plus my husband that this has happened to. At the end of my husbands interview all the evidence (emails,letters,cards,fotos etc) that was submitted with our application was returned.
So now we wait......

Sorry to hear that about your husband and others. But if you think about how many application s they are approving the odds are better , I have to think positive . My husband lives in santo domingo. I dont not how to post my process......if you could tell me that would be great

Just medical results received.

on your status where it says "Application Received" (then you are able to click on that for more details) well on my status it changed to "In Process"

is it possible for CIC to loose or misplace or misfile medical results? It seems that my husbands son's medical results are misplaced. Hubby was called today telling him that he can go to Havana on Feb 19 to receive the Visa. He must sign a waiver saying that a medical was not done. When in fact the medical was done Nov 15/16.
