@Galiano123 There isn't really a better visitor's visa. Do you mean which one would have a better chance to get accepted? from what I have read, both are the same. Are you planning to sponsor your spouse? If so, it's better to at least get your sponsorship approval first and then apply for TRV. If you would like more info, I invite you to go and check out cubaamor.org
Yes I am sponsoring my husband but it is taking so long to get the medical. We have everything else. We thought we might try for a visa as we understand from other Cubans it only takes 30 days if done online. I am on my way to Cuba for 6 wks in Feb so hoping to finish application and go to Havana for meds.
Is it necessary to change last name to my husbands last name on my personal information ex"meds, Passport, drivers license etc ? Will it be a red flag on my sonsorship app? Having been married before I found that it takes a while and really is not necessary in Cuban culture or Canadian. Anyone with any experience regarding this?
I am pregnant and I would like to know if I can apply for temporary visitor visa for my spouse, after I have apply for permanent resident while we wait for answer from embassy? How long it take the temporary visa?
Yes you can apply for a vistors visa while the sponorship application is being processed. I understand that they are rarely granted though because they seem to think that once in Canada they will not return to Cuba. I am in the process now but don't hold out much hope of getting one for my husband.
I was downloading application for sponsoring spouse. I can't find the application for the Sponsored Questionaries'. Did Immigration Canada deleted this application?
Thank you
Good morning everyone. Can the sponsored person in Cuba send his application by fax? Would immigration Canada accept it even though is not the original?
Thank you
Hi guys! So correct me if I'm wrong but it seems for most people it's taking about 5-6 months? I've submitted our application in December. Sponsorship was approved Jan 9, 14. So now it has been sent to Havana and we wait.... Online average says 8 months but it hasn't been updated in a while...rumor has it that it is much faster now...what are your thoughts? I've sent the complete application with medical and all the sorts. Looking forward to hearing your recent experiences!
