Thanks for the suggestion! I will take everything out of the protectors then. Its not that it looks pretty it is -in my mind easier to see each form with its attached evidence faster. So you suggest that it is better to have all the forms stacked unpaperclipped together. Using as little binderclips as possible? Then just put one big elastic around the whole package? Then I will put in a box and send off with tracking # and signature required? ( I planned on doing this anyways so I know when it arrived )
Sorry can you clarify.
Avana...is this how yours went too?
Thanks again to both of you for chiming in i really appreciate it!
Yes. You can use more than one elastic - depending on how big it is you can place 2-3 horizontally and 1-2 vertically so that they can pull it all out at once. The idea is that they can then process the papers without needing to take up time to remove the paperclips and binder clips.
And, yes - do send it off with signature required as it will be the only proof you'll have for a while that you sent it off.
Good luck. It's so exciting when you mail it off!

Yay!! KJG comes back late tonight!! Let's hope she isn't too sleepy to post her good news!

we're waiting KJG!!

Hola mis chicas!!! I am back...exhausted and my husband has his VISA!!!!! ;D
Interview was standard 1.5 hours.....in the morning and told to come back at 2pm but did not say we would get the visa just come back and it was ready and waiting for us!!! We were so happy that we got the visa the same day........just makes you feel that is 100% real seeing it in the passport and saying "immigrant" to Canada!!!!
So today my husband has been out and about getting new marriage certificates, ministry of transportation letter for driving, his liberation letter and his boss told him less than two weeks for that.....so we are hoping somewhere between November 15th and 25th he will be here!!!!!
My notes came in on the Monday and I they would not open at the email place.....adobe attachments are restricted so I landed up emailing my girlfriend and she read them an there was nothing in them basically said.....married almost a year with a two year prior history....lots of emails and lots of pictures...many trips...wedding with family and friends....looks like bone fide relationship but wanted interview for "quality assurance". Yoani found out in the interview that their concern was one of our friends in a picture was known to CIC and wanted to know the history of our relationship with him. Strange but whatever....it was a long day. Woke up a 6am and there was no power....pitch black...our landlady had a candle so we were able to get dressed but I could not see to put in my contacts or put on my makeup so our driver picked as up and just before we hit Havana I was trying to do my makeup in the car....all I can say is that my husband laughed so hard at me it at least relaxed him a little bit. I never did land up getting my contacts in!!!
They did not interview me but they knew I was there.
So ladies any questions.....shoot away.
From the posts I have read no one has heard anything yet. Don't forget I got my AOR from Havana 3 weeks after our interview was scheduled!!!!
congrats KJG, awesome news

I am SO SO SO SO happy for you. Hearing about what they wrote in the notes, makes me want to puck though. I am so nervous for my situation. I think they are going to red flag me for so many things. Maybe I ought to open to ya's...lol

Aw, excellent! Congrats again

DDG....why do you feel that way????

KJG- YAY YAY YAY YAYYYYYYYYYY! I knew it!! SO SO SO happy for you guys!! amazing news!! Good to know that all those things were good parts of the notes! Something you and I have in common! Now just a couple weeks left to go!! I hope I hear from them in november which is in similar timing to you!
How was the Visa Officer to him? I heard they can be tough! but I guess all the good proof you had made them not skeptical anyways! Crazy that they would judge you guys on someone being in your pictures! Was that really why they called your interview??
This calls for celebration!!
DDG- what makes you think your file has red flags? You're probably just over thinking it!
Also, you'll have to tell me what to do about the drivers license... My husband got his in 2011 and I was hoping he would be able to just do a test here and not do all the lessons and waiting around!

The visa officer was very abrupt and asked questions very fast.......the worst thing is the room.....it is little with 3 white walls....a chair...a telephone on the wall and a glass partition where the interviewer sits on the other side....it was a woman......and Yoani said he was so surprised when they started talking about our friend in the picture....it is almost wrong as far as I am concerned......almost like an information gathering....Yoani was distressed by that but the other questions were normal ones.......my kids...names..birthdates...where I live...what province.....what city.....what do I like to do oh and the other question that caught him off guard...."why does your wife like hockey?" he goes what kind of a question is that.......if you like it you like it but he goes because she is Canadian....LOL......
