Wow, if its a single visa entry everytime and you have to pay, then that would be really inconvenient. I definitely read somewhere that cubans residing in canada can get a temporary visa for the states for a certain allotted time frame. But maybe it was someone who was mistaken, or maybe it was for another sponsorship (perhaps work?) Anyways let me know for sure if you find out because it would be a really good thing for us to know!! Feeling confident about the interview? Do you know what type of questions to expect?

well I hope I am wrong and you are right with respect to that Visa for the States!!!! yes we are not worried about the interview...just nervous if you know what I mean......there was a list of questions listed here at one time on this forum and I downloaded them a few strange ones but overall very general so should be no problem....but I don't want to be over-confident.....one question and I laughed....does your spouse colour his/her hair.....hahaha!!!

Haha, that one im not worried about... Ive heard they can be pretty accusatory, and rude at times, but my husband's attitude about it is: that's fine let them accuse me of anything because theres nothing to be accused of, so i wont even flinch. Weve known each other for 4 years now so Im not worried that he has me down to a science.. lol

yes my husband's attitude is the same as yours.........we have been together 3 years.....knows me inside and out...there is nothing they can ask me that I can't answer about you!!!!

but, i dont think ill be able to last (aka, keep my sanity) if its too much after then.... waiting.is.killing.me.

Does anyone know excel well? Or does anyone know if there is a cuba spreadsheet? I feel like that would be more reliable for our timelines, because visa's and PPR are so different in every country (not that the cuba ones are always according to plan either ....)

Just think it would be awesome to have a Cuba one! Ive been going back and checking all the earlier spreadsheets and get sad when the very few Havana ones have no landing dates, but i feel like some people abandon the forums once they get that part, I can assume by that point theres a lot to do.... lol

Anyways, were at hump day, another week almost done. Im getting anxious and have decided that this weekend i will clean out my closets and make room husby when he comes. (i have WAY too much clothes right now anyhoo)

Not sure if its a smart idea or not, but im being optimistic!! and keeping busy!! lol

Avana - At the bottom of my signature is a google documents spreadsheet I created. Google docs is great to use, as they can accessed online. Also you can chose to allow people to make changes (So they can update it with their info without messaging you every time). I can try and help if you have any questions.

oooh that would be great!! I did do an excel course once but were going back a while at this point and i cant say i remember much... lol but maybe google docs will be a little more user friendly? no there is no spreadsheet as far as I know for Cuba....but like you I am surprised that the number of sponsorships are so low considering how many people I know who apply but then again not everyone is into forum chats/help.....

that is actually the one thing I dread when Yoani comes is having to share my closet and dresser space.....LOL.....and I will probably leave that till the last minute....it just means I will have to take advantage of the empty closets in the house and do the summer/winter thing!!!!!

That's soo funny. I was just standing in my closet this weekend.. trying to figure out how much space I can give him. Thankfully he's only coming with two suitcases. (I'll tell him that's all the airplanes allow

lol yes. A store here had a bunch of winter jackets on sale for 50% off, so I bought Luis one. Since he won't be able to find a decent winter jacket there. I'll meet him at the airport with it lol.
