Received my GCMS note (ordered Dec, 15th),
Prohibition: NOT STARTED, due date Aug 2020
Oath: NOT STARTED
Knowledge, Language, Residence Criminality: passed.
What's Prohibition in the context of Citizenship application, anyone know?
Well I just ordered my GCMS files today and I can't wait to see what has and hasn't been done since I applied in July 2019 and went to In Process on November 5, 2019. I have been a permanent resident of Canada since October 4, 2000 and not even so much as a parking ticket. I am over the age of 55 and do not have to take the knowledge test. So let's see how long it takes to get my records and exactly what has been done in over 18 months, including before and after the pandemic started.
Thesonicbro I have no problem answering your question. I am American by birth and raised my family in the U.S. I met my husband 23 years ago and it wasn't until my mother died that it got me thinking that I want to be buried with my husband when the time comes. I've been in Canada now for almost half of my life and Canada feels more like my home than the US does. I've talked about this with my family in the USA and they all agree that if it makes me happy then I should become a Canadian Citizen. Other than my limited family in the U.S I have no ties to the country.
As you get older you will come to realize that it's where your life is, is where your allegiance is and mine is Canada.
I ordered for my wife and myself a month ago and received yesterday. So, within 30 days.
However, my file is 188 pages and is mainly related to my PR application - nothing about current citizenship application and checks.
Whereas my wife's notes are 22 pages and are totally relevant to citizenship application with information when it was received and what the current status is.
Any idea why that happened? I submitted same requests for GCMS via official IRCC web-site but got different results. System glitch or manual mistake from IRCC?

I got 36 pages (first time and I have never contacted IRCC) and my app moved between 2 offices multiple times saying balancing work load. is this normal ? I do see a string that says "test ready" moving from Scarborough office to Mississauga 4/5 times
GCMS notes say " eligibility assessment 2 eligibility prohibition not started"
What does this mean?
We have applied for my wife's citizenship, she has even completed her citizenship test on January 20,2020 but since then we are waiting for an oath ceremony.
