I entered Virtual queue for H1B on Tuesday (Aug-6) and waiting game begins. Should've found this thread and updates earlier, would've applied outside Toronto area

I sent my dropbox application. Where do we check the status? In https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/niv, it says Courier-In Shipping even though the document was delivered on Wednesday the 7th.

Where will the status get updated to application received, issued & eventually passport ready for pickup?

Can I know how long you had to wait in virtual Queue and location?

Can I know how long you had to wait in virtual Queue and location?

Not sure what virtual queue is, but if that is the time after submitting DS160 to getting the email to courier docs, it was 1 day for Vancouver.

Submitted ds160 on 25th and got the email on 26th. But had to wait till July 6th to get my I-797.

Timeline for Ottawa - H1B Stamping (Previous Stamping done in India)

Applied for Virtual Q, received email within 24 hours

Generated Return label on June 10th, it has 1 month of barcode expiration for return label, if you are not able to drop by that time, you can re-generate

Documents I shared:

Passport with previous H1 stamp
Photo
Email instructions
Return label with 3 pages, only share the 3rd page
I797 (copy)
DS160 Confirmation Page
LCA (Optional)
Canadian Status

July 8th at 4:30 PM Dropped at Canadian postal - you need to find the location near you

July 10th Documents received to US Embassy in the morning

July 15th Application Approved
July 16th Issued
July 18th Passport Received (you will receive an email with tracker info)

can you or someone explain it to me what is virtual que?? i have previoulsy done my renewal stamping back in 2022 and did drop box. I don't remember what is virtual que and at what point of application filing we get this stage?
can anyone explain?

Surprisingly I received my email to submit docs within a week. Timeline Below

Oh man. I sent copy of my I-797 rather than original since It'll take another week or so to get original. Hope this doesn't impact me

I dont think that matters, everything is online for them to check. They just need the alien number or the receipt number to check.
